Psycho-Anakinisis — Anima in Motu

What Is Psycho-Anakinisis

The Psycho-Anakinisis workshop of Anima in Motu is a group experiential workshop focused on free expression and improvisation.
Its aim is to offer participants creative ways to access the unconscious, bring emotions to the surface, and express them through voice, movement, and music.

How It Works

Psycho-Anakinisis is a complete experiential process based on the S–O–R model (stimulus – organism – response), enriched with expressive channels such as:

  • voice (speech, discussion, vocal sounds)
  • movement (free bodily expression, dance)
  • music (drumming and other percussive instruments)

Through this process, facilitators and participants co-create an environment of safety and acceptance that supports inner exploration and fosters the foundations of a more balanced life.

Theme

A central element of Psycho-Anakinisis is the theme of each workshop.

The theme emerges organically from the group’s shared experience in the previous session: questions that arose, pathways left unexplored, and individual requests.

The theme acts as a lens— a filter. Like wearing glasses with pink lenses: during the workshop, everything appears pink. Once the glasses come off, things may return to their familiar color — or some elements may remain pink until we process them further.

Framework

(limits and assumptions)

The Psycho-Anakinisis workshop operates according to the following framework:

1. Facilitator instructions are suggestions, not commands. Each person chooses whether and to what degree to follow them. The facilitator is neither a saint nor all-knowing.

2. Everything expressed during the workshop is a projection of one’s personal experience. Projective, transference, and countertransference elements are discussed with the focus on the sender, not the receiver. The receiver may share their own experience if they wish. Everyone is welcome in the sharing circle.

3. Participants are free to express emotion or thought in any way they choose — through drumming, movement, or voice — and only if they wish.

4. We respect ourselves and others. We maintain confidentiality when sharing experiences outside the workshop.

5. Physical violence is not tolerated.

These agreements define the supportive framework that protects participants and cultivates trust among them.

Anima in Motu functions as a complementary tool for individuals engaged in psychotherapy and as a pathway toward self-discovery for those seeking a different way of personal expression, inner exploration, and human connection.

Notice

With each participation, an individual session is recommended with **Arsak Vasilis Mouragian**, mental health counselor, or another member of the Anima in Motu team, in order to process material that emerged during the workshop.

Sessions may take place in person or online within one month of the workshop.

The session fee is determined by the mental health professional chosen by the participant.
